Grant fell in love with video entertainment at an early age and has maintained his passion for cinematography.  His interest started as a hobby when he used his father’s video camera to create action scenes.  Film editing classes in school heightened his interest.  Initially he was most self-taught but progressed from cutting film to editing software.  After a term in the U.S. Army he again pursued his interest in video.  He greatly increased his knowledge and expertise at Tribecca Flashpoint Academy where he obtained a degree in Visual Effects and Animation.

 

Grant is insightful and detail oriented and is able to perceive what is needed to create a completed video, often within days after the start of a project.  He prefers editing and production but has an excellent understanding of video equipment and processes critical to project development.  He works equally well on site, remotely, in an office or employing his Eagle Scout and Army Scout skills in wilderness locations.

 

From his first job renting videos, Grant now edits and produces with motivation to continue his learning as the video environment evolves.  He has produced short films utilizing his small studio covering areas from writing, budgeting, visual effects, development and editing.  Examples can be viewed at this website.
