A secure walk-through of your home by an Ancient Tree resident. They check for leaks, sump-pump issues, damages, and other issues.
Includes an update of how your home is doing.
Available weekly, bimonthly, or monthly.

House Checks
Prepare Home for Vacation and Arrival
Prepare home for your vacation on the first check by turning off nonessential breakers to protect possessions, disconnecting exterior hoses, covering exterior spigots, sump pump test, ice maker off, open closets, check door & windows are locked, shut off water and drain pipes to avoid pipe bursts.

Prepare home on last check by turning on breakers, water, flushing/filling pipes, ice maker on, close closets, reconnecting exterior hoses, and setting clocks.

Water Plants
No need to take your house plants with you. You can have them watered while you are away. There is less sun in winter so plants will be moved to best get light and back before you come home.

Pipe Flushing
To avoid mineral build up and bacteria, unused pipes should be flushed each month.
Main water valve will be turned on and pipe system refiled. Sinks, toilets, shower, and washing machine flushed oust. Then water will be turned off and stem drained.

Home Maintenance
Have some minor repairs needed? Have them done wile you are on vacation. Check out the Simple Chores page.
Smoke Detectors
Smoke detectors need new batteries each year. Over 50% of my house cares result in smoke detectors needing a battery wile the home is vacant.
Have all your detectors' batteries changed.
(Includes Duracell Batteries and a detector cleaning)

House Caretaker
My name is Grant and I have lived on Ancient Tree's The Court of Greenway for over ten years. I have been watching over Ancient Tree homes while residents spend time down south for winter or just take a short vacation.
No matter what the weather, I am there to make sure homes are safe. I have dealt with power surges, broken pipes, and failed HVAC systems. Having regular checks and someone close in case of emergency can make a huge difference.
